Senior Project Manager

Job Description

Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall management direction to an electrical project such as plan, budget, cost estimate, schedule, general operational oversight of electrical construction project.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, and staff electrical construction project. Ensure that project is completed safely, profitably, timely, of a high quality and according to the contract.

  • Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.

  • Maintain all change orders, submit and document (drawing) control logs. Prepare required logs and other project documentation for constructions meetings.

  • Create job specific cost codes.

  • Responsible for forecasting, budget creation, productivity tracking and daily reporting.

  • Manage materials, subcontractor, and labor schedules.

  • Review submittals and shop drawings.

  • Approve and track time.

  • Ensure that the project control plans are in effect and followed.

  • Interface with owners, contractors, and construction managers

  • Monitor other contractors’ activities and progress.

  • Prepares price change orders, project reports and documentation.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Construction, or years of experience equivalent to degree.

  • 10 years’ Project Management experience on projects ranging from $10 m-$100 m.

  • Plus, electrical estimating experience.

  • Project Management Professional preferred.

  • The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledgeable in ConEst, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Revit or relative estimating or BIM software.

  • Ability to work independently or in groups, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.

  • Experience in new construction; active or existing project.

  • Position is project specific.

JOB TYPE

This is a full-time, in-person position. Typical work hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday - Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
